Manual Tester (Contract)
Location: Glasgow, Scotland Country: UK Rate: Up to £400 per day
Manual Tester| 6 months (Outside IR35) Glasgow|
Harvey Nash's client is recruiting for a Manual Tester on a 6 month contract.
Main Responsibilities
- Collaborate with a small team of specialists to ensure test plans are understood, integrated, delivered, and automated whenever possible.
- Organise and oversee test schedules.
- Develop and manage testing artifacts, proactively identifying potential opportunities or obstacles, and ensuring team decisions align with overall strategy.
- Identify areas for operational improvement to ensure stable and scalable services.
- Predict and address potential project challenges or risks.
- Collaborate with external partners to support testing services.
Key Skills
Technology knowledge - good experience of (last 2 years):
- Best Practice test approaches
- Proficient around Linux based environments
- AWS environment experience
- Mariadb/MySQL experience
- Agile testing principles
- Bug reporting
- Defect tracking
Self-management and proactive risk assessed decision making
- Demonstrable experience in Java, Selenium and Cucumber test creations (create tests in feature files)
- Build and maintain relationships with business SME's and wider release test team.
- Able to make decisions characterised by managed levels of risk and complexity and recommend decisions as risk and complexity increase.
